foroOn 2nd September the 6th edition of the International Winemaking Forum will be performed at Ángel Bustelo Auditorium in Mendoza. This key event for the wine industry will cover issues such as competitiveness, sustainability and trends.

As in the previous editions, this forum aims to be the most important business event of the Argentinian wine industry. The International Winemaking Forum offers a complete international outlook for the wine industry. World well-known qualified specialists discuss issues such as competitiveness, marketing, consumption trends and markets.

The forum is organized by Bodegas de Argentina, the most important business organization of the industry, gathering more than 250 associated wineries. Besides, the event will be operated by Área del Vino a leading company in Argentinian wine business communication, training and consultancy.

Every year, the International Winemaking Forum is the right place for discussing the future of the wine industry, from both a public and private point of view. This event gathers the wine industry leaders as well as more than 600 attendees.

As the wine world is constantly changing, all the actors of the industry should always update their knowledge in order to face new challenges. This way, the International Winemaking Forum aims to provide attendees with the necessary tools in order to increase the industry`s competitiveness.

Times of Saturated Markets

In this edition, Nelson Perez Alonso, President of Claves de Información Competitiva S.A., will speak about the Domestic Wine Market.

The speech about Strategies for Saturated Markets will be in charge of Liz Tach, Professor of Management and Wine Business at Sonoma State University, California. She has written several books such as “Success Strategies for a Saturated Market”.

Kym Anderson, Executive Director at Wine Economics Research Centre, will present the Australia Case: Strategy and Review. Furthermore, Javier Merino, Director of Área del Vino, will speak about Competitiveness of Small Companies.

In the case of the Social media in the wine business, the speakers will be Paul Mabray, Chief Strategy Officer at Vintank, and Leandro Zanoni, founder and current director of TercerClick. Zanoni has written several books, such as “El imperio digital”.

Finally, Yerko Moreno, Director of Grape and Wine Research at the University of Talca, will speak about the sustainability of the wine industry.
