The US magazine Wine & Spirits recently published the 50 value brands of the year. In this article, readers may know about the three selected Argentinian wineries. In the June edition, Wine & Spirits magazine selected the best 50 brands of the world, which had an outstanding performance in the blind tastings during the last 12 months. Something important to bear in mind is that all these wines are priced under USD 20, which means that these 50 brands offer exceptional value.
The list includes three Argentinian wineries selected as the best value brands of the last 12 months: Basso, Cruz Alta and Trivento.
In the case of Basso, Wine & Spirits points out that this traditional wine family in Mendoza offers “pure and expressive” Cabernet and Malbec. The wine highlighted by the magazine is San Carlos Reservado Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 (USD16), which is “seductive and lush, and a truly great value.”
