The off-trade represents 70% of sales in the United States

2 out of 10 wine bottles are marketed in the on-trade channel. This data derived from reports made by the Argentine Society of Wine (SAV).

United States has been hit by the 2008 crisis, and today, the economy has been shaken again. However, the personal expense in food and drink has experienced a recovery.

During the crisis, there were two markets pushing imports up during the last years. On the one hand, Italy thanks to Pinot Gris, and Argentina absorbed 50% of growth, driven mainly by Malbec.

This panorama was presented last week at the Excecutive Hotel in the cycle of conferences called “Market Analysis”, organized by the Argentine Society of Wine (SAV), in Mendoza, Argentina.
