Recovery in sales to Brazil

Prospects of Argentinian wine imports to Brazil are increasingly encouraging. According to wineries’ representatives, the average price will go on growing and the volume will be gradually concentrated in highest price ranges.

On the basis of data provided by Área Premium, according to the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (ALICEWEB), Argentinian wine imports to Brazil, registered during January-May 2010 vs 2011, have suffered a 9% drop in volume, whereas they have increased 4% in value.

This is due to two reasons, based on Export Managers consulted by WineSur.
