“I want to see the “Obelisk”, the “Casa Rosada”, and the “Cabildo”. “I’ve never been to Buenos Aires, and I am thrilled to be able to go”. These were the enthusiastic words of Daiana Bergamín, 13 , and thanks to the support of the “Venidmia Solidaria” program sponsored by the government, departed yesterday together with six other children from Mendoza schools on a funded guided tour of Buenos Aires.The children will also see, among other places, the Plaza de Mayo, the Museum of Fine Arts in the neighborhood named “Boca”, and given time, the Zoo and the Planetarium.
Daiana Lopez (12), Junín, Miguel Iyarra (12), Santa Rosa, Antonella Moron (12), Las Heras, Samuel Cantos (12), Lavalle, Nahuel Barroso (12), Tunuyán; Axel Aguilar Vazquez (13), Maipú, and Daiana Bergamin (13), Godoy Cruz, are the skilled students who qualified for this weekend in Buenos Aires, not only because of their good grades, but because of their camaraderie and solidarity qualities.
They were accompanied by three teachers; Blanca Correa, Monica Martinez and Nicolas Arnaez.
The program “Students of the Bicentennial, was also sponsored with donations by providers in Buenos Aires.
The students were chosen from a list of many who not only had good grades, but demonstrated such values as responsibility, friendship, and honesty.
For example, Daiana Bergamin was chosen because for returning a wallet she found that contained 24,000 pesos.
Other children were chosen for their demonstrations of human kindness, responsibility, and similar qualities.
