articlenopicAccording to a study done by the government, there are 25,000 school kids in the province of Mendoza who do not have the proper footwear for their days they spend in school.

These children typically come from poor families, and the shoes they use now are in a degraded condition, with holes and other tear and wear.
This situation has even caused many children to skip classes, like gym class, or even just stop going to school. The colder weather at hand is also an aggravating factor.

With this in mind, several private organizations, together with the Ministry of Family, Community, and Human Development, have put together a campaign to try to help this problem. With coordination provided by other government offices and school officials, the names, addresses, and shoe sizes of needy children have been collected.

With over 50 private organizations helping out, it is expected of the course of the next few months, to make a significant advance with this problem.

In next month’s electricity bill that arrives to every house in Mendoza, there will be a donation stub that one can use to help out.
