htallherasPlanned government announcements this Bicentennial holiday will include the opening of the first phase of the new public hospital in the Las Heras district northeast of Mendoza city.

Today the “Ramón Carrillo” hospital (named after Argentina’s first Health Minister) opens its out-patient facility first, as the in-patient facility is not projected to inaugurate until later this year.

The pediatric ward is expected to alleviate other hospitals in the nearby densely populated areas. Just in the Las Heras district alone, it is expected that 200,000 people live.

The Luján de Cuyo district also recently announced a new hospital with modern technology will be built south of Mendoza City
