Things have not started well for hosts Argentina in the 2011 Copa America following their scoreless draw on Wednesday night.

La Albiceleste were heavily favoured to beat Colombia in Santa Fe but the world’s 10th-ranked team were unable to cut through the defense of the determined Los Cafeteros who had enough chances of their own to win the Group A match.

Colombia should have taken the lead when Gustavo Ramos somehow spooned the ball over the crossbar from pointblank range before Mauricio Moreno missed an open goal in the 26th minute.
