Taca launching direct flights from Lima to Mendoza

Taca Airlines will launch four direct flights from its Lima hub to Miami (United States), Mendoza (Argentina), Antofagasta (Chile) and Brasilia (Brazil), which will result in a 25% increase in operations from the Peruvian capital, Taca's Sales Manager Nani Garrues reported today.

The new Lima-Miami route will operate daily starting on December 1st, and is one of the most demanded routes in the market. The company aims to fly about 30% of passengers using this connection.

The Lima-Mendoza route will also start operations on December 1st and will have 3 flights per week, becoming the second point of connection in Lima with Argentina. Taca operates 17 direct flights to Buenos Aires.

The Lima-Antofagasta route will start to operate on January 3rd, 2011, with 3 flights per week, focusing on the corporate segment.

Finally, the Lima-Brasilia route will start operations on December 15, with 3 weekly flights.
