When Julia Zuccardi turned 12 in 1994, her father, head of Argentina’s big Familia Zuccardi Winery, named a big, new line of wines for her. In fact, he named it “Santa Julia.”
“My father thought I was a saint,” she says now with a grin. “He was right.”
The winery has always been a family affair. Founded in 1963 by her grandfather, Alberto Zuccardi, it’s run by her father, Jose Alberto Zuccardi, with her brother, Sebastian Zuccardi, as a lead winemaker.
