He did get to his feet but didn’t beat the count and was in no condition to continue had he done so. Barros unsuccessfully challenged WBA featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa this past March dropping a unanimous decision. During the post fight interview in the ring a surprised Barros was informed that he would fight Irving Berry of Panama for the WBA interim featherweight title December 4th in Argentina.
