“Argentina competes best in the U$S 15- 30 price range”

Born and raised in Napa Valley, Keith Goldston is one of the world's youngest Master Sommeliers of the world. He was in Argentina and talked to Wine Sur about some interesting topics addressing wine.

Keith Goldston is a young Master Sommelier and proud recipient of the illustrious Krug Cup trophy.

He has more than 20 years of experience ranging from bussing & waiting tables, to writing award-winning wine lists, consulting, training and lecturing for prestigious and renowned restaurants, hotels, cruise lines & wineries including Domaine Chandon, Masa’s, Spago, Picasso, Aureole and Crystal Cruises.

Keith Goldston is visiting Argentina nowadays, as part of the crew of Master Sommeliers that are offering education for Latin American sommeliers who wish to enter The Court of Master Sommeliers. Additionally, Goldston was participating on several activities and wine tastings, both in Mendoza and Buenos Aires, organized by Wines of Argentina.

Based on the United States, it was interesting to have his observations on some trend topics for Argentinian wine, such as price range, Malbec, Torrontés and, of course, growth with international grape varieties as Cabernet Sauvignon.
