The Federation of Telephone Workers and Employees started the strike at midnight last night, citing “unproductive negotiations”, according to the secretary of the federation Silvia Hidalgo.The group is seeking a 35% pay increase.
Daniel Merino, part of the Mendoza branch of the Federation, said that they are asking for this raise due to the fact that wages have been frozen for a year now.
