24344_boudou_lorenzinoFinance Secretary Hernán Lorenzino and the area's Sub-secretary Adrián Cosentino will be in Japan and Italy tomorrow in order to promote the debt-swap among bondholders in those two countries.

Afterwards, both officials are to meet on Wednesday in Rome, where they would finish defining a new trip to Germany and Switzerland to continue promoting the swap, which is to finalize on Tuesday, June 22, sources of the Economy Ministry informed.

The Ministry already achieved an adhesion of 57 percent, around US$10.5 billion in bonds in default, only in the first stage of the wholesalers, and trusts that it will reach 60 percent by adding another US$2.5 billion in retail bondholders.

Last week, Economy Minister Amado Boudou assured that US$1 billion in Par bonds had already entered the swap, which are the bonds held mostly by retailers.

After the closing of the first stage, in May, Boudou highlighted that "all of the big operators entered" the swap, with holdings of more than US$100 million in bonds, "except for vulture funds," that gathered US$3 billion.

Also, he showed confidence in reaching a 60 percent acceptance level, "which is what we have always talked about," he concluded.
