Cherry volumes already look bigger in Mendoza this year, after blossoming and abundant fructification.

Cherry production in the three main productive areas of Argentina is likely to increase during the 2011/12 season, according to local estimative .

The positive perspective is due to a period with good winter conditions and new plantations that start producing in the central area of Río Negro/Neuquén and the South regions of Patagonia de Chubut, Santa Cruz.

Despite being too early for a precise prognosis - since frosts in Argentina tend to continue until the end of September, the cultivation should increase in amount.
