YPF in twin Neuquen strikes

YPF, the Argentinian arm of Spanish-based Repsol, has made two unconventional shale discoveries in the Neuquen region in central Argentina, according to local reports.

The deposit in the Vaca Muerta formation was found at a depth between 2775 and 2966 metres near the Patagonian town of Añelo, the Diario Rio Negro newspaper reported.
