Giorgio who returned to the country in the last hours following a visit she paid on Tuesday and Wednesday to the Asian nation, was informed about the plan by the General Director of the Chinese company Tierra del Fuego Energía y Química, Fernando Lin, who was accompanied by Grupo Roggio Commercial Manager Gustavo Espinoza.

The project involves the construction in the city of Río Grande of a factory to produce urea, which will call for a US$ 800 million investment.

In addition to this, along with Grupo Roggio, they project the construction of a thermal central which will generate 50MW of combined cycle to supply the factory which will call for an investment of US$ 130 million. In addition to this, there will be a commercial port - which represents an investment of US$ 70 million- from which the company will export part of its production to other countries.

“This investment is the result of the greater integration with China which sees our country as a strategic destination for its investments and which shall make it possible to generate greater added value to our industry, substitute imports and create hundreds of new jobs", said Giorgi by means of a press release.
