By Gabriela Malizia for WineSur.comLatin America concentrates 68% of Argentinian exports of sparkling wines, with Brazil at the top of the list. During 2010, the FOB turnover increased 8% and there are good prospects for the end of the year.
According to Caucasia Wine Thinking, October was the record month for Argentinian sparkling wine sales. Just in that month, exports amounted to 2.2 million dollars and 53.3 thousand 9-liter cases, which added to the figures of the 9 previous months, amounted to 12.3 million dollars (8%) and 308.8 thousand cases (1.6%).
The export destinations with the greatest growth were Colombia (61%), Japan (53%) and Peru (50%). In these 10 months of 2010, 68% of this product was exported to Latin American countries.
