By Taos Turner for The Wall Street JournalBUENOS AIRES (Dow Jones)--Argentina's automotive industry continued to expand rapidly in November because of high domestic and foreign demand for local vehicles.
Vehicle production jumped 36% in November from a year earlier and rose 13.8% from the previous month, the Argentine Automobile Manufacturers Association, or Adefa, reported Friday.
Adefa President Anibal Borderes said he expects the industry to continue to expand next year, though at a lower rate of growth.
"We estimate that production and exports will grow at around 10% to 12% while we expect the domestic market to grow at around 5% to 6%," Borderes said in a statement.
