BUENOS AIRES (Dow Jones)--Argentina's Banco Macro SA (BMA, BMA.BA) posted a profit of 468 million Argentine pesos ($118 million) during the second quarter, up sharply from the ARS163.2 million profit it reported a year earlier, the company said in an exchange filing Wednesday. Argentine banks have benefited this year from a broad economic recovery and a rally in bond prices.
