The Association of Argentine Car Dealers (ACARA) reported the number of new cars sold through financing reached 19,173 units in June, which represents a 43 percent increase compared with the same month last year (13,369 vehicles). Also, the number of new cars sold through financing climbed 10 percent on-month, ACARA informed. The accumulated number of new cars sold through financing totals 112,209 units in the first semester of the year, a 54 percent up compared to the same period last year (72,884 vehicles).
According to the President of ACARA, Dante Álvarez, "there is an improvement in the consumers' perspective regarding the domestic economy, which also affects the decisions related to car loan applications. People consider they will be able to afford monthly instalment payments for an extended period of time."
