‘Natural gas transportation and distribution systems are working according to plan,’ ENARGAS says

articlenopicThe Gas Authority (ENARGAS) assured that supply of natural gas to residential areas and liquefied natural gas (GNC) to gas stations is "guaranteed" despite the extremely low temperatures hitting the country.

"The transportation and distribution system is working according to plan, which allows for us to provide and prioritize certain areas of the population," a communiqué by the company read.

The ENARGAS explained that despite large companies being affected by having their gas supply cut off temporarily, these restrictions have been applied ever since the natural gas system was installed in Argentina, for which "people should not be surprised by them since they are being enacted in order to protect the population."

"At the same time, most companies can make use of alternative fuels, like they have done many times in the past while going through similar situations," the letter concluded.
