bah-26130_bancariaBanks' clerks lifted all roadblocks and protests set in the streets of downtown after calling on strike and interrupting all customer care services as part of the protests and claims for the fulfillment of the wage hikes agreed with banking chambers, and the revocation of the income tax.

Bank clerks' union spokesman Eduardo Berrozpe indicated that clerks' representatives first set a series of work assemblies along with the clerks at almost all bank institutions within the City to then take the streets of the down town's financial area.

Bank clerks had taken same measures last week when they decided to interrupt all activities for several hours, thus causing problems among clients.

Berrozpe told reporters that the Union demands "the fulfillment of the salary agreements reached for bank clerks as well for those working at banks' call centers, and the revocation of the income tax since our salaries cannot be considered as profit".

Likewise, Berrozpe confirmed a nationwide strike for July 14 that promises to paralyze the streets of BA City.
