starbucks_1Until recently, the strategy of Starbucks in Argentina was to concentrate many stores in the Buenos Aires area, in malls and other high traffic areas.  The majority of them are run by local partners of the firm.

In the first half of 2011, the firm plans to open locales in different cities in the country, including Mendoza, Bariloche, Córdoba, and Rosario, according to statements by executives to the business portal “Impulso”

Starbucks already has 16,000 stores in 44 countries. Frequently sold items are specialty coffees, other hot drinks and delicatessen products like croissants, muffins, cheesecakes and sandwiches.
