cd-03f2010710While the government of Mendoza  continues to refine its official price tracking entity (Dirección de Estadísticas e Investigaciones Económicas or DEIE), the differences between official figures and private studies continue to show big differences.

For example, Evaluecon and the University of Cuyo show inflation bearing in on 11% for this year as of the end of May while the official figures put it at 6.6%

Nevertheless, the government of Mendoza is confident about its new methodology launching in August, called thd "Relevamiento de Precios de Mendoza (Mendoza Pricing Study)" which will track pricing of 368 different types of products which represents 70% of household costs.
